I have friends and employees who use the tunnels on a daily basis. That would be two tolls five or six times a week.
Just the toll alone will be an additional expense of close to $1,000 a year. With the added cost of increasing gas
prices, this will be a huge burden on them and others in the Hampton Roads area. The tolls will further separate the
cities of Hampton Roads, it will deter individuals from going across the water to small businesses and hurt companies
that are already suffering in this poor economy. Overall, tolls will put a huge burden on our community that is

This is ridiculous! Tolls is just another word for a tax anyway. It just penalizes us who lives in the Hampton Roads
area. It's unfair to the local employers, people who need to use the Naval Hospital & who work there and the people
who live and work in Portsmouth. Governor McDonnell shame on you (and you're from here) and the rest of the
Northern VA legislators for sticking it to us once again. You take our taxes and keep it for yourselves once again but

I'm a TCC student, not all of my classes are at one campus. Why do I have to pay 2 or three times the normal amount
of a toll if I don't have this transponder? I don't even get 5 hours a week at my current employer and now I have to
depend on my parents to help me make my car payment which I hate have them do. This is not fair! I can't afford
this toll and I don't even want to even ask my parents to help me pay this toll. Thanks a lot Governor McDonnell, I
