(freegans) svoje životne potrebe zadovoljavaju na načine koji su suprotstavljeni<br />
društveno prihvaćenim normama ponašanja, koji su ponekad<br />
protuzakoniti i društveno sramotni. To su, na primjer, kopanje po kontejnerima,<br />
zauzimanje napuštenih zgrada, razmjena dobara, gerilsko vrtlarenje.<br />
Friganizam zagovara samoodrživost te, kao i environmentalizam, što<br />
manju produkciju otpada i destrukciju prirode.<br />
FREEGANISM –<br />
AN ANTI-CONSUMERIST SUBCULTURE<br />
Freeganism is an anti-consumerist movement, formed as a reaction to<br />
the waste of resources of capitalist societies. It is a subculture that stands<br />
for community, solidarity, sharing, and freedom, which is in contrast to the<br />
society based on materialism, competition and greed. Freeganism is mainly<br />
an urban lifestyle; it is an attempt of acquiring control over ones life by<br />
minimizing participation in conventional capitalist economy as much as<br />
possible. Freegans satisfy their needs in ways that are opposed to socially<br />
accepted norms of behaviour, which are sometimes illegal and socially embarrassing.<br />
These are, for example, dumpster diving, squatting, exchange<br />
of goods, guerilla gardening. Freeganism advocates sustainability, and as<br />
environmentalism does, minimal production of waste and destruction of<br />
nature.<br />

Naš svijet je dospio u najkritičniju fazu svog postojanja. U njemu su<br />
na smrt ugroženi priroda, čovjek i život, opasnosti i prijetnje suspendiraju<br />
nadu i svladavaju spasonosnost. Svijetom upravljaju i o njegovoj sudbini<br />
odlučuju intelektualno neprosvijetljene, nemoralne i neograničeno pohlepne<br />
osobe koje se ponašaju kao da im je dopušteno sve što je moguće. Znanost<br />
i tehnika se nastavljaju nesuzdržano razvijati, bez moralne kontrole i<br />
