to the public in a new, invasive way – by new media. Corporations find<br />
their core profit interest in elementary resources which provide man’s life,<br />
such as food, water, medicines, vitamins, in beautification and aesthetic<br />
interventions in man’s physical appearance. In the background of our aspirations<br />
for wealth and creating a dependency of modern man on big corporations<br />
and their services and products, the trend of the strong influence by<br />
new web portals and their journalism on our health, physical appearance,<br />
habits and everyday needs has become increasingly obvious.<br />
What bioethical message is communicated by web portals promoting<br />
health industry profiteering content? What are the causes and consequences<br />
of informing by new media in relation to the ethical/bioethical values <br />
of the modern man/women? Will the human body, the pursuit of health, of<br />
the elixir of youth and beauty, become the most lucrative goods of large<br />
corporations in the near future? What bioethical challenges should be tackled<br />
by ethics as a philosophical discipline?<br />

VREDNOTE SVJETSKOG ETHOSA U HRVATSKOJ<br />
Autor polazi od teze da poštivanje vrednota svjetskog ethosa u <strong>Hrvatsko</strong>j<br />
indicira prihvaćanje vrednota svjetskog ethosa kao projekta.<br />
Teorijska podloga bile su neke teze Hansa Künga o pravednijem svjetskom<br />
poretku, svjetskom i religijskom miru i dijalogu i Deklaracija o<br />
svjetskom ethosu (Chicago, 1993).<br />
U radu se iznose rezultati empirijskog istraživanja poštivanja vrednota<br />
svjetskog ethosa u <strong>Hrvatsko</strong>j provedenog na uzorku 1008 odraslih stanovnika<br />
u 105 naselja (gradova i sela) krajem 20<strong>10.</strong> godine. U prvom dijelu<br />
iznose se rezultati percepcije poštivanja devet vrednota: čovječnost, uzajamnost,<br />
poštivanje života, solidarnost, pravednost, tolerancija, istinoljubivost,<br />
ravnopravnost i partnerstvo muškarca i žene. Vrednote se uspoređuju<br />
sa socio-demografskim obilježjima ispitanika. U drugom dijelu prikazuje<br />
se odnos (a) poštivanja vrednota i koncepta »novog svjetskog poretka« i<br />
(b) odnos vrednota i dimenzija sociokulturnog identiteta u <strong>Hrvatsko</strong>j. U<br />
