The intention of this presentation is to expose the link between those
two disciplines, which seems to be very important for recognising the very
basics that define them, and which can be considered under the term of
‘xenobioethics’.

Prvi dio izlaganja odnosi se na pretpostavku o mogućnosti postojanja
inteligentnog oblika života izvan Zemlje, te na mogućnost susreta izvanzemaljskog
oblika života sa čovjekom. Sam susret bi, bar u određenoj mjeri,
doveo do destrukcije pojma Boga. S obzirom na vrstu susreta, u smislu
prijateljstva, odnosno neprijateljstva, mogle bi se razviti različite vrste odnosa
koje bi potom mogle biti utemeljene iz bioetičke perspektive, što će
biti obrađeno u drugom dijelu izlaganja.
XENOBIOETHICS AND THE POSSIBLE DESTRUCTION
OF THE CONCEPT OF GOD
The first part of this presentation focuses on the possibility of the existence
of an intelligent extraterrestrial life form and the possibility of establishing
contact with the same. The encounter itself would, to some extent,
bring forth the destruction of the very concept of God. Taking into account
the type of possible contact, whether friendly or hostile, we could develop
different types of relations which would afterwards be founded from a
bioethical perspective, which is what the second part of this presentation
deals with.
