tions, as well as regarding the means of social communication. Therefore,
we should pay more attention to the professional training of journalists in
terms of bioethics, so that those who are involved in this sort of journalism
can really perform their services professionally, giving bioethics that
position which belongs to it. Also the skill in using technological advances
in the field of media communication will greatly help bioethicists to bring
closer scientific development of bioethics to the wider media audience.
ARE WE IN NEED
OF INTERCULTURAL CLIMATE ETHICS?
Human-caused climate change has seen an incredible rise of attention
in public opinion and daily politics due to the urgency of the issue. In this
interdisciplinary field of study different sciences prove not only the reality
of climate change but also give mitigation options. Ecologically oriented
economics lists costs of climate change and proposes systems to manage
mitigation. However, it is up to ethics to come up with norms of what to
do and why to do so. In an ever more globalised world ethical norms need
to be globally acceptable. This is especially the case with climate change
ethics where causers and victims face each other on an incredibly high
level of disparity – certainly one of the reasons for the Copenhagen failure.
Yet there are hardly any intercultural considerations regarding climate
change ethics at all. Therefore I want to argue why we need an intercultural
dimension in climate change ethics and point out some of the major practical
obstacles for achieving it.
POSTOJI LI POTREBA
ZA INTERKULTURALNOM ETIKOM KLIME?
Klimatske promjene koje su uzrokovali ljudi dobivaju sve veću pažnju
javnosti i dnevne politike uslijed urgentnosti toga pitanja. U ovome interdisciplinarnom
području istraživanja, znanost dokazuje ne samo stvarnost
