In the paper, the author exposes few examples/cases within modern<br />

history of medicine that confirm the above mentioned statement – and in<br />

which medical ethics did not succeed to impose its very basic principles. In<br />

our opinion, bioethics, as an integrative project, could and should do that<br />

though.<br />

BIOETIČKI POGLEDI PAVLA VUK-PAVLOVIĆA<br />

Filozofija Pavla Vuk-Pavlovića je prožeta etičkom problematikom,<br />

imanentnom etičnošću. Međutim, u svom pažljivom komponiranju cjeline<br />

<strong>filozofsko</strong>g sistema, on ipak nije izdvojio i izgradio etiku kao posebnu<br />

disciplinu. Razlog tome je, po riječima samog Filozofa, to što u njegovim<br />

radovima ima dovoljno elemenata za konstituiranje jedne konsekventne<br />

etike. Rečeno važi i za Vuk-Pavlovićeve bioetičke poglede. Cjelina njegove<br />

filozofije – počevši od doživljaja kao gnoseološke kategorije, preko<br />

horizontalnog opravdanja pluraliteta svjetova i filozofija i, samim tim,<br />

podrazumijevajuće tolerancije, do antropoloških izvoda, kao i pedagogike<br />

i pedagogičkih shvaćanja okrenutih budućnosti, uz vidljive srodnosti sa<br />

budističkim i džainističkim dostignućima – omogućava i opravdava konstituiranje<br />

osnovnih naznaka i pravaca njegovih bioetičkih shvaćanja.<br />

BIOETHICAL VIEWS OF PAVAO VUK-PAVLOVIĆ<br />

The philosophical thought of Pavao Vuk-Pavlović is pervaded with<br />

ethical issues, its immanent ethicity. However, in his careful composing of<br />

the totality of his philosophical system, he did not found ethics as a separate<br />

discipline. The reason for that is, according to his own words, the fact<br />

that the elements present in his work suffice for establishing a consequent<br />

ethics. The same implies to Vuk-Pavlović’s bioethical views. The whole of<br />

his philosophy – starting from experience as a gnoseological category, via<br />

the horizontal justification of plurality of worlds and philosophies, and the<br />

tolerance implied by that, to its anthropological excerpts, as well as peda-<br />
