BIOETHICS AND SOCIOLOGY:
POTENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND RELEVANCIES
The discourses on bioethics appeared mostly to respond to current
medical advances and new biotechnology developments. Traditionally,
ethical problems (security of patient’s rights, justification of biomedical
research, euthanasia or cloning etc.) tend to be argued by employing theoretical,
rational or legislative argumentation but not always empirical facts
provided by social research. However, the subject of bioethics as a result
of inter- and multi- disciplinary reasoning depends also on the social and
value changes, so bioethical issues could never be divorced from the sociological
context. So, it may stipulate the question – should we be more concerned
dealing with ethical dilemmas are disputed.
BIOETIKA I SOCIOLOGIJA:
MOGUĆI DOPRINOSI I ZNAČAJI
legislativnu argumentaciju, no ne uvijek i uz empirijske činjenice dobivene
putem društvenih istraživanja. Međutim, predmet bioetike, kao rezultat
interdisciplinarnog i multidisciplinarnog promišljanja, ovisi i o soci-
