Assembling and Adjusting the VivoTM / VivoTM lite to your Child This child restraint system is suitable for children who fall into the proper height range as
shown in the chart at left, and whose weight is between 30 and 100 lbs. (13.6 and 45.4 kg). 37 inches - 59 inches (94 cm) (150 cm) Your Vivo / Vivo lite must
be assembled prior to first use.
1 Locate the slots at the rear of the seat cushion to the tabs at the bottom of the seat back. 2 Lay the seat cushion flat with the tabs aligned into the slots of the
seat cushion. 10 3 Rotate the seat cushion up allowing tabs to lock into slots. 4 It requires you to firmly rotate the seat back until the tabs snap into position.
Check for complete assembly by pulling the seat back up from the seat cushion.
11 Head Restraint Adjustment The purpose of the head restraint adjustment is to maximize side impact protection for the child's head and properly position
the vehicle shoulder belt across the child's body. There are 6 adjustment positions to allow the Vivo / Vivo lite to grow with your child. To properly fit the
child, the red 1 vehicle shoulder belt routings must be above the child's shoulder. 2 .AND the child's head must be centered vertically between the top and
bottom of the head restraint.
3 Have your child sit in the Vivo / Vivo lite and check the height of the head restraint. If the head restraint height needs to be adjusted, lift the button at the
rear side of the head restraint and move the head restraint to the proper position. Have your child sit upright in the Vivo / Vivo lite to confirm the head
restraint height is correct. 12 Backrest Recline Adjustment The purpose of the backrest recline adjustment is to help the child restraint system fit flat against
your vehicle's seating surfaces. The backrest has three positions. However, due to great variation in vehicle seating shape and design, this child restraint is
NOT suitable for all vehicle seats. Therefore, you MUST read and understand all of the information in the section, "Learning About Your Vehicle," which
covers the types of vehicle seats that CANNOT be used with this child restraint system. 1 If the backrest recline needs to be adjusted to properly fit your
vehicle seat, follow these steps: 1. While holding the Vivo / Vivo lite seat cushion down, lift the backrest and rotate it to the desired position. The Vivo / Vivo
lite backrest and bottom should fit close to the vehicle seat cushions with no large gaps.
2 2. Release the backrest. You should be able to feel the backrest engage into one of the two positions. Double check by rocking the backrest forward and back
that it is secure in one of the adjustment positions. 13 WARNING! DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur · Do NOT use the child restraint when the child's
shoulders are even with or above the red shoulder belt routing when the head restraint is adjusted to its highest position. · Do NOT use the child restraint
when the child's ear is above the top edge of the head restraint when the head restraint is adjusted to its highest position. · Do NOT use the child restraint
when the child's ear is below the bottom edge of the head restraint when the head restraint is adjusted to its lowest position. · NEVER make adjustments while
the vehicle is in motion or while the child is in the restraint. 14 Section 6: Learning About Your Vehicle It is important to become familiar with the features of
your vehicle so that your child rides as safely as possible. Read the vehicle owner's manual to learn about the safety features and adjustments available for
safe travel.
Below is a diagram that helps you to identify key features. Not all vehicles will have all features described here..
