USS FANKtIB D . ROOSFiV&T (CV A-4-21 . On 11 Itarch 45.1 hours were
flown on CAP missions. During the month, with 16 operating days
available. 475 hours were flown. 387 sorties were scheduled, and
only 26 were lost due to maintenance.

The outcome was very one-sided in favor
of the SECOND Fleet. Our F3H8s were
required to supplement the F8U8s during

the day- and supply alL the Night CAP for
the ROOSEVBLT. The SECONO Fleet was
successful in stopping all raids sent by
the SIXTH Fleet.
