For a long time now, there is the desire for coloured
parquet floors and recently it is expressed more
intensively. Besides the trend towards dark wood colours
in the field of furniture, dark tropical wood and wood
colours are also in demand for parquet now. Up to now,
this demand could only be met by the use of tropical
kinds of wood for parquet. Today, we offer a possibility
to get an exotically coloured parquet floor, and this even
with low expenditure: Instead of laying expensive tropical
woods, a special, high-quality parquet stain will produce
a comparable precious look and place interesting nonusual
coloured accents.
Take:
A cheap kind if parquet wood, Hesse-Parquet
stain, Hesse-coating materials and a competent
parquet layer.

Result:
An individually designed, professionally laid parquet
floor, which is protected with high-quality Hesse-Parquet
materials.
There are (almost) no limits for the variety of colour
and design:

Practically well-tried working process:
Step 1:
The floor must be thoroughly sanded in
direction of the grains (max. grain 120) and
it must be free from any coatings, oil, fat,
wax, silicone, sanding dust etc.
The wood humidity should be < 12%, the
room temperature should be between 16 and
25° Celsius. Relative air humidity 40 – 65%.
Step 2:
Shake Hesse-Parquet stain well and apply
quickly with a shorthair roll, a plastic spattle
etc. and distribute evenly thin.
Step 3:
On edges or inaccessible parts the stain
must be applied and wiped/worked-in with
a sponge, brush or cloth.

Step 4:
The surplus is removed by a single-disk
polishing machine with a non-abrasive (!) pad
and the stain is regularly incorporated into the
wood. Any possible starting lines or irregularities
will be equalized this way. The stain must
not stay humidly on the surface!
• The applied quantity and the time of reaction
have an effect on the intensity of the colour
tone!
• For this reason, larger surfaces should be
coloured by several processors at the same
time!
• The stain is applied only once; the desired
colour tone must be obtained immediately!
• If the stain, for reasons of environmental
influences, cannot be distributed evenly, the
used pad can be wetted with a little bit of
water. This will make the simple and even
distribution of the stain much easier.
Step 5:
After drying (if possible, over night!) the
following coating can be made with all
Hesse-coatings, preferably with the Hydro
Sealing materials.
(Please consider the corresponding technical
information sheets of the different Sealing
systems!)
Step 6:
Necessary cleaning and care according to
our maintenance instructions! In order to get a
result, which is giving long-term pleasure, some
general advices regarding stained parquet floors
must be considered! (Details see technical data
sheet of parquet stain!)

particular wood colour (!) an almost unlimited
colour range is available!
Caused by the printing process, the shown wood colour
samples may differ from the original colour tones.

Modern Metallic-Effects
The close cooperation with a leading raw material supplier, enables us to
present new modern metallic colour tones.
The all-automatic mixing machine of
Hesse-Lignal is in flying condition!
Colour designers have
made a colour tone
range, containing a.o.
iridescent effects, which
was first introduced
on the ZOW in Bad
Salzuflen.

Teak-furniture in the outdoor sector
should be regularly treated (usually once
a year before the garden season) with
Proterra Hard oil GE 110!
Proterra Hard oil GE 110 is a lowviscous
quality based on linseed oil.
Protect your Teak-furniture against
environmental impacts, chemical as
well as mechanical strains.
Proterra-Hard oil is easy to be applied
and you will get an excellent emphasis
of the wood grain. Additionally it is
preventive against wood greying.
Proterra Hard oil GE 110 is
delivered ready for use.
In order to improve the light
fastness, you may add up to 25% of
GB 11002-0008 Proterra – oil, brown.

2C-Hydro-Systems
Compared to the tried and tested
1-component Hydro lacquers,
2-C-systems (lacquer + hardener)
offer better mechanical and
chemical resistance properties
as well as a high resistance to
hand sweat and skin creams.
In the case of coloured coatings,
discolorations by wood contents
are fixed in the first lacquer coat.
For this reason, the use of special
isolation materials is not required.
These waterbased lacquers,
contribute to a considerable
VOC-reduction, as well.
They are almost odourless.
A development of the latest
generation is the series HDE
5400.degree of gloss, which is
hardened in a ratio of 10:1 with
HDR 5090.
Available are the gloss levels mat,
semi-mat and silky gloss.
A special high light is the Hesse
2C Brilliant lacquer HDE 54099,
mixing ratio 5:1 with HDR 5090.
With this product, it is possible
for the first time, to produce highgloss,
brilliant coatings on a nonpolluting
hydro basis. Of course,
these surfaces are polishable after
3 days of drying, as well.
