The Publications Grant Scheme aims to assist the production of high quality publications on aspects of Ireland’s heritage. 139 applications were received. A total of €103,207.22 was offered to 38 publications. A list of payments to projects is included in the Financial Statements. Archaeology Grants Scheme 2002 The Council also repeated its Archaeology Grants Scheme in 2002. Under the scheme €109,780.75 was awarded to 6 projects. A list of payments to projects during 2002 is included in Financial Statements. Wildlife Grants Scheme 2002 The aim of the Wildlife Grants Scheme is to contribute to the collection of data on flora, fauna and wildlife habitats, landscapes and seascapes. In 2002, €181,816.84 was awarded to 27 projects under the Wildlife Grants Scheme. A list of payments to projects during 2002 is included in the Financial Statements. Buildings at Risk Grants Scheme 2002
The aim of the Buildings At Risk Grants Scheme is to enable the Council to identify the scale and extent of risk to the architectural heritage and to assist it in proposing policies and priorities to address the issue. The list also assists Council in prioritising projects for grant-aid. In 2002, €1,861,851.85 was awarded to 72 projects.
