Limerick<br />

Finds from these houses and structures included two bronze pins, six iron knives, an iron pin,<br />

iron slag, bone comb fragments, bone and stone spindle whorls, a fragment <strong>of</strong> rotary quern,<br />

eight whetstones; four fragments <strong>of</strong> jet bracelets; and two glass beads - one light-blue, one<br />

dark-blue. Ten pieces <strong>of</strong> flint and one <strong>of</strong> chert as well as some sherds <strong>of</strong> Neolithic pottery<br />

were also recovered. A quarter <strong>of</strong> a ton <strong>of</strong> animal bone was recovered from the site with<br />

cattle accounting for the bulk followed by pig and sheep (goat) and to a lesser extent horse<br />

and dog.<br />
