a <strong>Hereford</strong> consigned by Hirsche <strong>Hereford</strong><br />

of High River, AB. GH Neon 17N was<br />

purchased by Upstream Ranch of Taylor,<br />

NE for $51,000. The highest selling<br />

Charolais bull was DWK Till’s Echo 3N<br />

from Wilkie Charolais of Big Valley, AB<br />

and sold for $20,500 to Roy Mulkay,<br />

Phillipe Lusson, Elizabeth McAttie and<br />

Tyler Bullock. The high selling Angus of<br />

the sale was the Angus Grand Champion<br />

Belvin Patriot 34’04 from Belvin Angus<br />

of Innisfail, AB. Remitall Cattle Co. of<br />

Olds, AB purchased him for $12,000.<br />

and Dorothy Hoffman worked very<br />

hard to make this sale a success. With the<br />

passing of Gerald, Colin and family probably<br />

thought of this sale as their first big<br />

test in the <strong>Hereford</strong> industry. Well, they<br />

shouldn’t worry. It was a great success!<br />

The first four top-selling bulls were<br />

sired by Mohican Hunter 57H.<br />

Top selling bull was Lot #9, HH Hunter<br />

368P, a polled 02/20/04 son of Mohican<br />

Hunter 57H and out of one of the cows<br />

Hoffmans purchased from Ray Johnson.<br />

368 sold for $6,750 to Don Crays of<br />

Tobias, NE and had a birth weight of 78<br />

lbs. and EPDs of BW 2.8, WW 32, YW<br />

60, Milk 24, M&G 40 and REA of 0.17.<br />

Lot #51, HH Hunter 572P, is another<br />

son of Mohican Hunter 57H and sold to<br />

Plager Polled <strong>Hereford</strong>s of Table Rock,<br />

NE and Tegtmeier and Sons of Burchard,<br />

NE for $6,750. 572P had a birth weight<br />

of 86 lbs. and EPDs of BW 2.6, WW 56,<br />

YW 90, Milk 13, M&G 41 and REA of<br />

0.21.<br />

HH Progress N330, Lot #5, was sold<br />

to Lund <strong>Hereford</strong>s of Carrington, ND for<br />

$6,000. N330 is also sired by Hunter and<br />

has a birth weight of 85 lbs. and EPDs of<br />

BW 4.2, WW 57, YW 91, Milk 13, M&G<br />

41 and REA of 0.28.<br />

Lot #30, HH Hunter P464, is a 03/07/04<br />

57H son and out of a MH Patriot 3159<br />

daughter that sold to Gene Korzan of<br />

Kimball, SD for $4,750.<br />

Darwin & Cindy Aman of Eureka, SD<br />

purchased Lot #17, HH Landlord 397P for<br />

$4,750. 397P is a 02/26/04 son of Remitall<br />

Landslide 161L with a birth weight of 87<br />

lbs.and EPDs of BW 3.6, WW 29, YW<br />

55, Milk 16, M&G 30 and REA of 0.19.<br />

Top selling heifer, HH MS Laddie P348,<br />

went to Daniel Kite of Hooper, UT for<br />

$1,850. P348 was sired by D&M 53H<br />

Latitude 102L.<br />

Dean Suelflow of White Lake, SD purchased<br />

Lot #93, HH MS Laddie P407,<br />

another Lattitude daughter, for $1,700.<br />

Volume bull buyers were Dennis Mitchell<br />

of Houghton, SD with 10 head and Gene<br />

Korzan of Kimball, SD with 4 head.<br />

Volume heifer buyer was Joe Fritzke of<br />

Wessington, SD.<br />
