Sue Forbes Watson Award for Educational Innovation
The Hanover Education Foundation honored Sue Forbes Watson with a reception on June 14, 2012,
at Randolph-Macon College, in recognition of her 36 years of service as the Ashland Representative on the
Hanover County School Board. A former English teacher, Mrs. Watson has been an effective and tireless
advocate for quality education for all Hanover children. Mrs. Watson has also given twenty-three years of
service as an Advisor to the Foundation.
We are proud to celebrate both her dedication to education and the
Hanover County school system that she has so ably served. The award named
in her honor will be a lasting tribute to her service and will enable Hanover
students and educators to be supported, encouraged, and recognized for
excellence in education.

school retirees Becky Bray and Dr.
Lloyd Jones.
Proceeds from the sale of
this book, which chronicles the
foundation and growth of Hanover
County Public Schools, helps to
support professional development
scholarships for teachers and creative
classroom grants. To receive
