Rx of DPD • Primary focus is to treat with antidepressants • Treatment of depression improved MMSE scores with a rise to normal scores 2 years later in the ‘depressed/demented’ group (Rabins et al, 1984) • Post (1965) and Burgeois et al (1970) found ECT to be especially effective in this group
