At the conclusion of this sem<strong>in</strong>ar, attendees will:<br />
• Apply genetic test<strong>in</strong>g guidel<strong>in</strong>es and <strong>in</strong>terpret positive,<br />
<strong>in</strong>termediate, reduced penetrance, and negative test results<br />
sponsored by<br />
• Diagnose cognitive, behavioral, and motor signs and symptoms of<br />
HD from premanifest to late stage disease<br />
• Prescribe treatments for HD symptoms amenable to pharmacologic<br />
therapy<br />
• Utilize behavioral, pharmacologic, and ancillary speech,<br />
occupational, and physical therapy <strong>in</strong>terventions for treat<strong>in</strong>g motor<br />
and behavioral symptoms<br />
• Apply compassionate allowance designations for successful<br />
navigation of the Social Security disability process for patients<br />
• Navigate the complex management of lateand end-stage disease<br />
• Access Northwest community and social services for patients<br />
• Communicate <strong>in</strong>formation to their patients about cl<strong>in</strong>ical research<br />
<strong>in</strong> the Northwest<br />

the Wash<strong>in</strong>gton State Medical Association CME Accreditation<br />
Committee to sponsor cont<strong>in</strong>u<strong>in</strong>g medical education activities for<br />
