Croatian officer association of Primorsko-goranska County organized in honour of Homeland
Thanksgiving and victory Day and the Day of Croatian veterans, the fifth time in Croatia, the
shooting competition "SNIPER CUP" in the disciplines (events) "sniper rifle", at a distance of 100-
600 meters. The event will be held on Saturday and sunday the july 20 th /21 st 2013. at the shooting
range "Kovačevo" on Grobnik area (approx 6 km from center of Rijeka).
Permitted are all types and calibres of sniper-rifle. We organize six events (disciplines).
Events “Hunting rifle - Deer", " Hunting rifle – Wild boar" and " Hunting rifle - Fox" will take place
on saturday july 20 th 2013.
Events "Open", "Historical rifle" and "Long range" will take place on sunday july 21 st 2013.
1st event: Sniper rifle- "Open"
the category includes all types and calibres of rifles and types of optical aiming device, distance 300
m, 13 match shots in "sniper target" diameter - 40 cm (diameter of the circle "10" = 4 cm, see annex
1), three (3) worst shot will counted as sighting shots and ten (10) best shots counted as score. Time
for match: 30 minutes.
2 nd event "Historical rifle"
the category includes all sniper rifles made until the end of the Second World War, (Mauser K98
and all versions, Mosin-Nagant, Arisaka Type 97, etc. ..), distance 300 m, 13 shots in target "R-50"
diameter of 50 cm (diameter of the circle "10" = 5 cm, “black field” diameter -20 cm, see annex 1),
three (3) worst shot will counted as sighting shots and ten (10) best shots counted as score. Time for
match: 30 minutes.
3 rd event: "Long Range"
the category includes all types and calibres of guns and the type of optical sight, distance 600 m,
NO sighting shots, 10 shots in a circular target (plate) in red color , (diameter - ø 60 cm) on
automatic falling device, (see annex 1). All shots will be firing on command (Load, attention, 3,2,1,
START). Time for each shot is 60 seconds (1 minute). Scoring is one or zero (1 or 0) depending on
status of target (if the target fall - score is 1, if the target stay standing - score is 0). In case of equal
results will be shoot-off.
In the event, "Long Range" will compete 10 first competitor (finalist) from the event of
"Open” (300m).

4 th event: "Hunting rifle-Deer"
the category includes all hunting rifles (with grooved tubes) .22 hornet caliber or larger, a
maximum weight of a rifle is 5.0 kg, a maximum increase of the 12x optical sight, distance 100 m,
without any sighting shots, 6 shots at a target "Deer" (two shots from seating position-firing from the
bench, two shots in the standing position with help of flat vertical rod, and two shots in a free
standing), Time for match 20 minutes. After each shooting position target will be controlled by
referee with optical equipment. In this event is not alowed to shoot with sport rifle, all guns will be
controlled by the technical comitee.
5 th event: "Hunting rifle-wild boar"
the category includes all hunting rifles (with grooved tubes) .22 hornet caliber or larger, a
maximum weight of a rifle is 5.0 kg, a maximum increase of the 12x optical sight, distance 100 m,
without any sighting shots, 6 shots at a target "Wild boar" (two shots from seating position-firing
from the bench, two shots in the standing position with help of flat vertical rod, and two shots in a
free standing), Time for match 20 minutes. After each shooting position target will be controlled by
referee with optical equipment. In this event is not alowed to shoot with sport rifle, all guns will be
controlled by the technical comitee.
6 th event: "Hunting rifle- fox"
the category includes all hunting rifles (with grooved tubes) all .22 caliber or larger, a maximum
weight of a rifle is 5.0 kg, a maximum increase of the 12x optical sight, distance 75 m, without any
sighting shots, 6 shots at a target "Fox" (two shots from seating position-firing from the bench, two
shots in the standing position with help of flat vertical rod, and two shots in a free standing), Time
for match 20 minutes. After each shooting position target will be controlled by referee with optical
equipment. In this event is not alowed to shoot with sport rifle, all guns will be controlled by the
technical comitee.
Additional rules for all disciplines:
- Allowed use of personal devices in front of the shooting line (weather stations and TV image
transfer targets)
- Allowed assists monitors (spotter), except for event no.4, no.5, no.6 - "Huntng rifle"
- Stand for the shooting was “prone position” (lying down), with or without a belt for discipline,
"Open", "Historical rifle" and "Long Range"
- For the discipline "Hunting rifle" position see at, no.4, no.5, no.6
- permitted to use the front rest or support
- Length of front support is max. 8 cm and should provide the possibility of lifting freely the rifle
- Not allowed to use the rear support (under the stock or horseshoe stock) but can be put under any
part of shooters body (forearms, hands ...) Failure to comply with this rule means immediate
disqualification
- Competition are also a team competition, the team consists of three members in each events
During the shooting competition in the military shooting range all competitors and staff apply
general safety rules (Croatian Arms act) and specially safety rules on military shooting range
"Kovačevo”. (Personal ID card, passport or else...)

During the competition will be provided food to the all shooters and staff. Non-alcoholic drinks as
refreshments, hot drinks and sandwiches, food generaly, will be available at a symbolic price.
Registration fee for participation in this competition is 80 kn (in Croatian currency) or 11 € per event
"Open" and "Historical rifle".
Registration fee for participation in this competition is 50 kn (in Croatian currency) or 7 € per one
event " Hunting rifle - Deer", " Hunting rifle – Wild boar" and " Hunting rifle - Fox". (for all three
events participation is 150 kn or 21€).
Aplication deadline for participants is july 10 th 2013. After that date we will receive
participants aplication only to fill the maximum number of shooters. All details will be available
