PURPOSE OF THE CONFERENCE
The purpose of the Internal Medicine Reunion is two-fold. First, hot topics in
Internal Medicine that will affect your practice will be presented in an assessable
interactive format. Evidence-based presentations on cardiovascular health, general
medicine and critical care will be coupled with important sessions on work-life
balance, public policy and professional development. Second, all presenters are
current or former HCMC faculty. The conference will be an exciting way to connect
with colleagues, new and old, and benefit from the expertise of HCMC. A special
presentation by Minnesota top public health official, MDH Commissioner Edward
Ehlinger, MD, will be a highlight sure to engage you.
Target Audience
This conference has been planned to meet the learning needs of physicians, advanced
practice providers, and trainees. We will learn from each other in a highly interactive
environment while hearing expert continuing medical education for physicians.
ACCREDITATION
Hennepin County Medical Center is accredited by the Minnesota Medical Association
(MMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

If you are unable to attend the CME Event and/or Reunion, we hope you would consider
contributing to the Department’s Alvin L. Schultz Education and Research Fund via the
Hennepin Health Foundation (HHF). This important fund provides an opportunity to
bring in well-known visiting professors for Medicine Grand Rounds and special events,
supports both our resident research projects and their ability to present at scientific
meetings as well as funding for an off-campus experience either in the United States or at
designated international sites. Contributions can be made directly to the HHF
