filling free-flowing granular<br />

The <strong>HAVER</strong> net weigher’s<br />

low maintenance needs,<br />

rugged construction and<br />

compact size make it<br />

especially easy to install<br />

in existing filling plants.<br />

For providing operational<br />

safety, the double-bottom<br />

weigher trapdoors are<br />

equipped with a self<br />

restraining system and<br />

remain closed in the<br />

event of a compressed air<br />

outage. All corners are<br />

rounded as well.<br />

The filled volume of the<br />

container is up to 120<br />

dm 3 and allows a weighing<br />

range of 10 to 50<br />

kilograms. Mobile filling<br />

plants require operatorfriendly<br />

cleaning, and so<br />

all containers are now<br />

equipped with cleaning<br />

covers and protective<br />

enclosures designed as<br />

doors.<br />

Dosing unit maintenance cover<br />

All parts are easily accessible<br />

for maintenance and<br />

cleaning. The dosing<br />

hopper is equipped with<br />

a maintenance cover,<br />

which makes it especially<br />

easy and quick to clean<br />

when changing over to<br />

different products.<br />

Weighing container<br />

Equipped with a doublebottom<br />

trapdoor for providing<br />

extremely short<br />

discharge times. Depending<br />

on the product and<br />

fill weight, the volume is<br />

between 68 - 118 litres.<br />

Load cells<br />

The weighing container<br />

hangs from three load<br />

cell members. This prevents<br />

the adverse effects<br />

of temperature fluctuations<br />

and assures consistent<br />

weight accuracy.<br />

All components in the<br />

weigher area are easily<br />

accessible thanks to an<br />

easy-to-remove and<br />

lockable metal panel.<br />

monitoring system if<br />

The MEC III weigher electronics and DPS data processing system<br />

The MEC III is the result of<br />

continuous innovation of<br />

<strong>HAVER</strong> electronic weighing<br />

systems. More than 18,000<br />

electronic weighing units<br />

are in operation worldwide.<br />

The MEC III can be calibrated<br />

and is a PTB approved<br />

measuring instrument<br />

with a resolution of 6000<br />

increments. In addition to<br />

weighing, the MEC III controls<br />

the machine functions.<br />

The operation and display<br />

of all functions take place<br />

at an operator terminal with<br />

graphic display (see page 4)<br />

or via the MEC III terminal<br />

panel of the FFS operating<br />

system. The simple and<br />

well structured operating<br />

sequences are menu-guided,<br />

or executed simply by pressing<br />

a pictogram function<br />

key. Plain text messages are<br />

given in English, German<br />

and in the local national<br />

language.<br />

The DPS V 4.1 data processing<br />

system is a program<br />

for detecting, recording and<br />

reporting process data. Data<br />

from the <strong>HAVER</strong> weigher<br />

controller and other compatible<br />

check weighers can be<br />

collected. Up to eight<br />

packing lines may be managed<br />

simultaneously using<br />

the appropriate PC interfaces.<br />

The weigher data can<br />

be evaluated to produce statistics<br />

such as mean weight,<br />

standard deviation, total<br />

weight, total number of<br />

bags, etc. This allows daily,<br />

weekly, monthly and<br />

annual reports to be generated,<br />

as well as single weight<br />

reports, weigher diagrams<br />

and Gaussian distribution<br />

curves.<br />

A concept that will convince you<br />

High pressure spray nozzles clean<br />

the entire product area, thus<br />

allowing the weigher and filling<br />

system to go back into operation<br />

after the shortest interruption time.<br />

This assures reliable cleaning<br />

whenever changing the product or<br />

colour.<br />

And to reduce the drying time, the<br />

area can be dried with either warm<br />

or cold air.<br />

The <strong>HAVER</strong> net weigher equipped<br />
