Introduction<br />

People who have legally entered Australia as migrants or refugees may be eligible for a variety of assistance through Government<br />

and Community organisations. These services include Health Care, Citizenship, Housing and Crisis Accommodation, Domestic<br />

Violence and Family Services, Court Support, English classes, Employment and Financial Assistance and more. To find out if you<br />

are eligible for assistance you need to contact the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) on their enquiry line 131 881.<br />

The Australian Government is the only body that can remove a person from Australia. If you are experiencing domestic violence or<br />
