Residential Amenity 16.4 The site comprises a predominantly 2 storey care home, with some single storey extensions to the rear and is sited on a large plot within a residential area. There is a large tarmaced area to the rear of the existing site which provides significant sepatation from the surrounding residential properties. The site is surrounded by a mix of houses and bungalows. 16.5 The proposed building is 2/3 storeys in height, broadly in an “I” shape. The front elevation details 3 storeys dropping to 2 storey closer to the neighbouring residential properties and is within the approximate building line of the properties fronting Stockton Road. Behind the front elevation is a 2 storey link which is centred in the site and provides a degree of separation from the neighbouring residential properties.
