A further letter w as sent to hard to reach groups about with information about the consultation and the<br />
offer of a meeting. A follow up phone call has been made to ask w hether further information is<br />
required or face to face meetings w ould be helpful. To date the <strong>Hartlepool</strong> LD Partnership and the<br />
Over 50’s Forum have requested attendance at meetings.<br />
Attendance at formal meetings<br />
Representatives from NHS <strong>Hartlepool</strong> and Stockton on Tees CCG and NHS Durham Dales,<br />
Easington and Sedgefield ( DDES) CCG North Tees and <strong>Hartlepool</strong> NHS Foundation Trust (NTHFT)<br />
attended the <strong>Hartlepool</strong> Audit and Governance <strong>Committee</strong> on 31st May, after the Tees Valley <strong>Joint</strong><br />
<strong>Scrutiny</strong> Forum on 17th June. Information has also been provided to the relevant <strong>Health</strong> and<br />
Wellbeing Boards.<br />
Other<br />
CCG, NTHFT and North East Commissioning Support staff were briefed at the start of the<br />
consultation through internal communications mechanis ms. A number of staff forums are taking place<br />
for those affected specifically by the change.<br />
Display banners and information have placed in both main hospital sites and in the One Life Centre in<br />
<strong>Hartlepool</strong> and the main library. Asda supermarket has also agreed to space for a stall in the<br />
<strong>Hartlepool</strong> super market for a one day period.<br />
An Equality Impact Assessment is commencing on the proposed changes.<br />
Ongoing activity<br />
During the next tw o w eeks a further communication w ill be made w ith MyNHS members, hard to<br />
reach groups, voluntary organisations, charities, and the Citizens Advice Bureau. NTHFT’s Nursing<br />
Director is also w riting to key stakeholders offering dedicated meetings. Supermarket and town centre<br />
stalls are also being planned.<br />
It has also been agreed to explore the possibility of household leaflet drops as discussed w ith<br />
respective <strong>Health</strong>watch’s.<br />
Representatives w ill attend the first formal joint scrutiny meeting to discuss the proposals for change<br />
on 11th July.<br />
Attendance has also been agreed at the follow ing during July:<br />
• Stockton Over 50s Assembly – 8 th July<br />
• <strong>Hartlepool</strong> - Stockton Road Residents Event - 2nd July<br />
• <strong>Hartlepool</strong> Learning and Disabilities Partnership Forum –12th July<br />
Both CCGs and NTHFT aim to be responsive to ongoing requests for information, presentations, and<br />
consultation sessions throughout the consultation.<br />
