CONSULTATION ON THE PROPOSED CHANGES TO EMERGENCY<br />
MEDICAL AND CRITICAL CARE SERVICES IN HARTLEPOOL.<br />
IMPACT ON DURHAM, HARTLEPOOL AND STOCKTON RESIDENTS:<br />
The follow ing table summarises the numbers of admissions to the University Hospital<br />
<strong>Hartlepool</strong> (based on the activity for 2012/13), and the likely impact of the proposed<br />
changes. Activity for the <strong>Hartlepool</strong> and Stockton CCG is split according to the previous PCT<br />
catchments to identify the impact appropriately.<br />
Assumptions<br />
Assumptions adopted in predicting the impact are as follows:<br />
Elective activity:<br />
7% of admissions admitted to the University Hospital of North Tees ( UHNT) instead of the<br />
University Hospital of <strong>Hartlepool</strong>, (UHH) irrespective of home address as these decisions are<br />
based on clinical condition.<br />
