Allen-Bradley Company Clock<br />

A Guinness Book record-holder, this 280 foot Milwaukee landmark is billed as the largest four-faced clock in the world and<br />

features octagonal faces nearly twice the size of the clocks on London’s Big Ben.<br />

The Domes<br />

One of the most unique and recognizable features of the local skyline, the Domes- as locals refer to it- allow you to experience<br />

nature’s variety and abundance within the confines of its uniquely shaped greenhouses. Each dome has a distinct<br />

climate and exhibits plants in a naturalistic setting. Visit and experience a desert oasis, a tropical jungle and special floral<br />

gardens all in one afternoon.<br />

Art Museum<br />

The awesome design of the Brise Soleil addition to the museum designed by Santiago Calatrava is perhaps the most<br />

recognizable component of the Milwaukee Art Museum and worth the trip on its own. If you venture inside you will find an<br />

impressive collection that spans the centuries from ancient Greece and Egypt to the pop art of Warhol and Lichtenstein<br />

and beyond.<br />

Joan of Arc Chapel<br />

This chapel dates back to the 15th century and is known as the location where Joan of Arc prayed before she was burnt<br />

at the stake. As legend would have it, the stone she kissed in this chapel is perceptibly colder than all the others. This<br />

chapel was dismantled stone by stone then reconstructed first in Long Island in 1926/27 then in Milwaukee in 1964 when<br />

it was presented to Marquette University.<br />

Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary<br />

For a commanding view some1350 feet above sea level, visit this registered U.S. landmark, Holy Hill and its accompanying<br />

shrine and church, sit atop one of the highest points in the state. The grounds of Holy Hill are memorable for their<br />

collective beauty, period architectural style, colorful history, and religious significance.<br />

House on the Rock<br />

This 14-room architectural marvel sculpted atop the 60-foor Deer Shelter Rock, is the original structure of what is now a<br />

mind-boggling array of rooms beginning with a 375-foot ramp through the treetops that takes visitors to the entrance of the<br />

House where a bell gallery, waterfalls, massive fireplaces and walls of rock can been seen. Built as a critical parody of<br />

Frank Lloyd architecture, the House On The Rock is stuffed to the gills with miniatures and oddities to delight and mystify.<br />

Pabst Mansion<br />

Built in 1892, this Flemish Renaissance Revival Mansion represents the epitome of America’s Gilded Age Splendor in<br />

Milwaukee features stunning interiors, elegant original furnishings, elaborate wall coverings, the finest wood craftsmanship,<br />

intricate ironwork, brilliant stained glass, and rare art, the Mansion helped make the 1890’s the “Pabst Decade” in<br />

Milwaukee.<br />
