Edelweiss Cruise Lines<br />

For a unique perspective on the Milwaukee scene, try viewing it from the water. The Edelweiss company offers cruises<br />

showcasing downtown Milwaukee, the festival grounds, the breakwater lighthouses, major marinas and the city skyline<br />

aboard their fleet of custom designed European canal boats.<br />

ComedySportz<br />

ComedySportz is interactive, improvisational comedy played as a sport. As made famous by Drew Carrey’s Whose Line is<br />

it Anyway, teams compete for laughs and points in with lots of help and occasional participation from audience members.<br />

Riverwalk<br />

The city makes effective use of the Milwaukee River area. The river is alive with boats of all sizes motoring up and down<br />

the waterway and pulling in to dock at the various restaurants. As evening falls, the lights along the river combine with<br />

lights highlighting the tops of nearby buildings and give the area a festive atmosphere. A great place to eat and drink or<br />

just spend an hour people-watching.<br />

Festival Listings<br />

Summer in Milwaukee is one big party. Every weekend there is an ethnic festival on the lakefront at the Maier Festival<br />

grounds, and there is lots of food, music and drink to be had. Summerfest, a 10-day music festival, is the biggest, with top<br />

names performing at the Marcus Amphitheatre and other well-known performers appearing at the many other free stages.<br />

And did we mention there’s plenty of food? Milwaukeeans like to eat.<br />

Cedar Creek Settlement<br />

Unique shopping can be found within these history-filled buildings constructed 150 ago when German and Irish settlers<br />

first established the little community known as Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Built in 1864 to manufacture woolen goods for the<br />

Union Army during the civil war, the solid stone structure is now home to numerous antique and specialty shops, restaurants<br />

and even a winery. It was awarded a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.<br />

Milwaukee County Zoo<br />

This 200-acre site is home to more than 2,000 mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and reptiles and is recognized as one of<br />
