A new black Hanoverian for the Mounties:
The privately owned sire Bugatti Hilltop by
Bergamon/Rubinstein (breeder: Ingo Pape,
Hemmoor) moves to Canada. He stood at
stud in the United States until the Royal
Mounted Canadian Police bought him for
their breeding program.
NZB Campino by Contendro/Pinkus
(breeder: Hans-Jürgen Abel, Bremervörde)
injured himself at his first competition of the
season in Fontainebleau and will not be able
to compete all season. The eleven-year old
won the team bronze medal last year in
London with his rider Mark Todd. The rider
from New Zealand is confident that
Campino will be fit and ready to participate
in the World Equestrian Games in Normandy
in 2014.

Heimliche Liebe is a new addition to the
stable of Spanish Olympic competitor
Morgan Barbancon Mestre. Hubertus
Schmidt trained this Hohenstein/Davignon
daughter (breeder: Ulrich Heitmann,
Hagenah). Up to now the 13-year old mare
has collected successes under Emma
Kanerva from Finland.
Saint Swithens by Saint Cloud/Jonas
(breeder: Holger Siems, Sebbenhausen)
passed away at the age of 18. The dark bay
went to the barn of the British dressage rider
called Nicola Jourdin as a five-year old. Saint
Swithens had served rising young rider Daisy
Jackson as a schoolmaster for three years.
Doringcourt by Dressage Royal/Glueckspilz
(breeder: Heinz-Horst Kaufel, Winzenburg) is
back in Germany. The black stallion has been
highly successful with his owner Andrea
Bank from New Zealand in her home
country. Now the pair will train with Leonie
Bramall in Isernhagen.
Windhuk (VA)
Michele Thill was the best junior rider at the
CDIJ in Stadl Paura. She won all three classes
on her Windhuk by Waikiki/Arogno (breeder:
Joern Hormann, Landesbergen).
Wyoming (VA)
Megan O’Brian won Inter I on Wyoming by
Weltmeyer/Akzent (breeder: Heino Kracke,
Wildeshausen) in San Juan Capistrano/USA.
Jumping
Jumping
All Star (VA)
Only two horse/rider combinations remained
faultless in the jump-off for the Grand Prix of
Doha/Qatar. All Star by Argentinus/Alme
(breeder: Horst Zoellmer, Suedergellersen)
and Denis Lynch finished in second place
winning 130,000 Euros in prize money.
Arkol (VA)
Arkol by Argentinus/Kolibri (breeder: Christian
Temme, Muehlen) under rider Anthony
Condon competed for Ireland on the Mediterranean
Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova/
Spain. The grey came from the stallion market.
He won the qualification for six-year olds
and placed third in another class.
Baby Arko
We can read about Baby Arko by Doyen/Capitol
(breeder: Breeding Farm Lewitz, Muehlen)
in the international sport pages of THE
HANOVERIAN for the first time. Gianluca
Apolloni rode the seven-year old on the Toscana-Tour
in Arezzo/Italy. The pair finished in
third place in a speed class of the Youngster
Tour as well as in a two-phase jumper class.
Fixdesign Athletica
The Toscana-Tour in Arezzo offered exciting
sport for more than four weeks. Giulia Martinengo
Marquet rode Athletica by Achill-Libero
H/Pit (breeder: Arend Kamphorst, Prieros)
into third place in the qualification for the
Grand Prix on the third weekend. The pair finished
the following two-phase jumper class
in second place.
Carducci (VA)
Carducci by Cornet Obolensky/Compliment
(breeder: Gerold van Hoorn, Leer-Heisfelde)
collected his first international top placement
in Ranshofen/Austria. Emanuele Gaudiano
rode him into second place in the second
qualification of the Youngster Tour for sevenyear
olds.
Cash
Fifth place for Simone Blum and her mount
Cash by Calido/Godehard (breeder: Jörg
Naeve, Groß Wittensee) in the Grand Prix of
Ranshofen.
El Rubin
El Rubin is from State Stud sire El Bundy’s
first year of breeding. The dark bay out of a
dam by Grandferdinand (breeder: Friedrich
Wilkens, Elsdorf) celebrated his first international
top placement with rider Frederik Knorren
in Lanaken/Belgium. The pair finished a
1,45 m speed-class in second place.
Emely (VA)
Emely by Embassy III/Chambertin (breeder:
Elisabeth and Winfried Burkhard, Hattersheim)
was discovered on Verden’s Elite Auction
in April 2011. Nina Fagerstrom from
Finland rode her in two jumper classes for
young horses and placed second and third in
Oliva Nova.
Fine Lady
Holger Wulschner and Fine Lady by Forsyth/
Drosselklang II (breeder: Wilhelm Leymann,
Bassum) were in the ribbons in Lanaken. The
pair remained faultless and placed third together
with teammate Denis Lynch on Boemerang
in a team competition.
Flying Boy (VA)
Simone Blum and Flying Boy by Fly High/Sao
Paulo (breeder: Horst Heidemann, Meppen)
finished the Championship of Ranshofen in
second place.
Galjano
Galjano by Graf Top/Ile de Bourbon (breeder:
Jürgen Hake, Wagenfeld) celebrated his debut
in international competition at Easter.
Thomas Batliner from Lichtenstein rode him
into fourth place in a speed class of the Silver
Tour in Oliva Nova.
Gleen Love (VA)
Gleen Love by Graf Top/Stakkato (breeder:
Salvatore Basile, Perugia/Italy) started the
Youngster Tour of Ranshofen with a victory.
Chuyba Bronislav from Slovakia rode the sixyear
old to victory in a speed class.
