A new black Hanoverian for the Mounties:<br />
The privately owned sire Bugatti Hilltop by<br />
Bergamon/Rubinstein (breeder: Ingo Pape,<br />
Hemmoor) moves to Canada. He stood at<br />
stud in the United States until the Royal<br />
Mounted Canadian Police bought him for<br />
their breeding program.<br />
NZB Campino by Contendro/Pinkus<br />
(breeder: Hans-Jürgen Abel, Bremervörde)<br />
injured himself at his first competition of the<br />
season in Fontainebleau and will not be able<br />
to compete all season. The eleven-year old<br />
won the team bronze medal last year in<br />
London with his rider Mark Todd. The rider<br />
from New Zealand is confident that<br />
Campino will be fit and ready to participate<br />
in the World Equestrian Games in Normandy<br />

Heimliche Liebe is a new addition to the<br />
stable of Spanish Olympic competitor<br />
Morgan Barbancon Mestre. Hubertus<br />
Schmidt trained this Hohenstein/Davignon<br />
daughter (breeder: Ulrich Heitmann,<br />
Hagenah). Up to now the 13-year old mare<br />
has collected successes under Emma<br />
Kanerva from Finland.<br />
Saint Swithens by Saint Cloud/Jonas<br />
(breeder: Holger Siems, Sebbenhausen)<br />
passed away at the age of 18. The dark bay<br />
went to the barn of the British dressage rider<br />
called Nicola Jourdin as a five-year old. Saint<br />
Swithens had served rising young rider Daisy<br />
Jackson as a schoolmaster for three years.<br />
Doringcourt by Dressage Royal/Glueckspilz<br />
(breeder: Heinz-Horst Kaufel, Winzenburg) is<br />
back in Germany. The black stallion has been<br />
highly successful with his owner Andrea<br />
Bank from New Zealand in her home<br />
country. Now the pair will train with Leonie<br />
Bramall in Isernhagen.<br />
Windhuk (VA)<br />
Michele Thill was the best junior rider at the<br />
CDIJ in Stadl Paura. She won all three classes<br />
on her Windhuk by Waikiki/Arogno (breeder:<br />
Joern Hormann, Landesbergen).<br />
Wyoming (VA)<br />
Megan O’Brian won Inter I on Wyoming by<br />
Weltmeyer/Akzent (breeder: Heino Kracke,<br />
Wildeshausen) in San Juan Capistrano/USA.<br />

All Star (VA)<br />
Only two horse/rider combinations remained<br />
faultless in the jump-off for the Grand Prix of<br />
Doha/Qatar. All Star by Argentinus/Alme<br />
(breeder: Horst Zoellmer, Suedergellersen)<br />
and Denis Lynch finished in second place<br />
winning 130,000 Euros in prize money.<br />
Arkol (VA)<br />
Arkol by Argentinus/Kolibri (breeder: Christian<br />
Temme, Muehlen) under rider Anthony<br />
Condon competed for Ireland on the Mediterranean<br />
Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova/<br />
Spain. The grey came from the stallion market.<br />
He won the qualification for six-year olds<br />
and placed third in another class.<br />
Baby Arko<br />
We can read about Baby Arko by Doyen/Capitol<br />
(breeder: Breeding Farm Lewitz, Muehlen)<br />
in the international sport pages of <strong>THE</strong><br />
<strong>HANOVERIAN</strong> for the first time. Gianluca<br />
Apolloni rode the seven-year old on the Toscana-Tour<br />
in Arezzo/Italy. The pair finished in<br />
third place in a speed class of the Youngster<br />
Tour as well as in a two-phase jumper class.<br />
Fixdesign Athletica<br />
The Toscana-Tour in Arezzo offered exciting<br />
sport for more than four weeks. Giulia Martinengo<br />
Marquet rode Athletica by Achill-Libero<br />
H/Pit (breeder: Arend Kamphorst, Prieros)<br />
into third place in the qualification for the<br />
Grand Prix on the third weekend. The pair finished<br />
the following two-phase jumper class<br />
in second place.<br />
Carducci (VA)<br />
Carducci by Cornet Obolensky/Compliment<br />
(breeder: Gerold van Hoorn, Leer-Heisfelde)<br />
collected his first international top placement<br />
in Ranshofen/Austria. Emanuele Gaudiano<br />
rode him into second place in the second<br />
qualification of the Youngster Tour for sevenyear<br />
olds.<br />
Cash<br />
Fifth place for Simone Blum and her mount<br />
Cash by Calido/Godehard (breeder: Jörg<br />
Naeve, Groß Wittensee) in the Grand Prix of<br />
Ranshofen.<br />
El Rubin<br />
El Rubin is from State Stud sire El Bundy’s<br />
first year of breeding. The dark bay out of a<br />
dam by Grandferdinand (breeder: Friedrich<br />
Wilkens, Elsdorf) celebrated his first international<br />
top placement with rider Frederik Knorren<br />
in Lanaken/Belgium. The pair finished a<br />
1,45 m speed-class in second place.<br />
Emely (VA)<br />
Emely by Embassy III/Chambertin (breeder:<br />
Elisabeth and Winfried Burkhard, Hattersheim)<br />
was discovered on Verden’s Elite Auction<br />
in April 2011. Nina Fagerstrom from<br />
Finland rode her in two jumper classes for<br />
young horses and placed second and third in<br />
Oliva Nova.<br />
Fine Lady<br />
Holger Wulschner and Fine Lady by Forsyth/<br />
Drosselklang II (breeder: Wilhelm Leymann,<br />
Bassum) were in the ribbons in Lanaken. The<br />
pair remained faultless and placed third together<br />
with teammate Denis Lynch on Boemerang<br />
in a team competition.<br />
Flying Boy (VA)<br />
Simone Blum and Flying Boy by Fly High/Sao<br />
Paulo (breeder: Horst Heidemann, Meppen)<br />
finished the Championship of Ranshofen in<br />
second place.<br />
Galjano<br />
Galjano by Graf Top/Ile de Bourbon (breeder:<br />
Jürgen Hake, Wagenfeld) celebrated his debut<br />
in international competition at Easter.<br />
Thomas Batliner from Lichtenstein rode him<br />
into fourth place in a speed class of the Silver<br />
Tour in Oliva Nova.<br />
Gleen Love (VA)<br />
Gleen Love by Graf Top/Stakkato (breeder:<br />
Salvatore Basile, Perugia/Italy) started the<br />
Youngster Tour of Ranshofen with a victory.<br />
Chuyba Bronislav from Slovakia rode the sixyear<br />
old to victory in a speed class.<br />
