Sport The completition of the indoor show season Many competitors meet at the attractive show series in Southern Europe and Florida while the last big indoor shows of the season 2012/13 take place. Young Hanoverians performed well at the first outdoor shows. By Britta Züngel Dressage Afrika Afrika by Diamond Hit/Weltmeyer (breeder: Ingrid Alfaro, Madrid/Spain) became the second best five-year old at the CDI in Toledo/ Spain. Juan Francisco Fernandez Munoz presented the black mare. KH Arvan KH Arvan (bred in New Zealand) won the Grand Prix and the Freestyle with rider Vanessa Way in Feilding/New Zealand. Blind Date Victoria Max-Theurer and Blind Date by Breitling W/Donnerhall (breeder: Margarethe Klare, Maasen) lived up to their roles as favorites winning the Grand Prix and the Special in Stadl Paura/Austria. Breanna (VA) Breanna by Brentano II/Weltmeyer (breeder: Walter Rauen, Spelle) celebrated her first international victory in Del Mar/USA. She won the Grand Prix Special with rider Kathleen Raine in mid March. Breanna finished the Grand Prix and the Freestyle in second place at the next show in San Juan Capistrano/ USA. Condio B Condio B by Contendro/Willem’s As was successful with rider Claire Averkorn at the CDIJ in Stadl Paura. The dark bay with his jumper pedigree took fourth place in the team competition for juniors. The pair improved and finished in second place behind Windhook by Waikiki in the individual test and in the freestyle. Danilo Shelly Francis and Danilo by De Niro/Andiamo (breeder: Susanne and Jürgen Beck, Stuttgart) won Prix St. Georges and Inter I in Wellington/USA. The pair placed third in the freestyle. Degas Degas by De Niro/Regazzoni (breeder: Christine Müller, Stade) was one of the successful dressage competitors in Wellington. Jill Irving from Canada rode him into third place in the Grand Prix Special. Der Clou Iberian horses dominated the competition at the CDI in Toledo/Spain. Filipe Canelas Pinto rode Der Clou by De Niro/Matcho AA (breeder: Dr. Rainer Nitsch, Salzhausen) into third place in the Grand Prix Special. Devon L Devon L by De Niro/Wolkenstein II (breeder: Hans-Henning v. d. Juan Francisco Fernandez Munoz rode Dhannie by Don Crusador/Weltmeyer (breeder: Hinrich Engelke, Doerverden) in the final into second place behind Sandronnerhall. Don Charly (VA) Dressage competitions at the highest level were held in Doha/Qatar for the first time. Don Charly by Don Gregory/Inschallah AA (breeder: Ewald Grotelueschen, Wardenburg) was in on it with rider Minna Telde. The pair placed fifth in the Grand Prix-freestyle. Don Johnson FRH Don Johnson FRH by Don Frederico/Warkant (breeder: Ulrike Meyer, Dedelstorf) and Isabell Werth competed in the Grand Prix and the Freestyle at the World Cup-competition in ‘s-Hertogenbosch finishing on third place in both against tough Dutch competition. Donaublick Tatjana Svehla from Austria rode Donaublick by Don Vino/Brentano II (breeder: Martin Schmid, Legden) into third position in Prix St. Georges and into fourth position in Inter I in Stadl Paura. Fabrioso (VA) Jenny Baldwind and Fabrioso by Federweisser/Fabriano (breeder: ZG Lemcke and Soetebeer, Ebstorf) finished the Grand Prix Special of Del Mar in fourth position. Fleurie Fleurie by Florestan/Akzent II (breeder: Diana Eustace, Surrey/Great Britain) was born in England. The 13-year old performed a hattrick with rider Erin Williams at the CDI in Addington/Great Britain: she won all three classes for juniors. For My Love Katharina Stumpf traveled to the USA to participate in Florida’s dressage show series for the first time. The Austrian held her Grand Prix-debut on For My Love by For Feeling/Escudo (breeder: Heinrich Zettel, Neustadt) in Wellington. The pair celebrated a third place. The pair won this class after having placed second in Prix St. Georges and Inter I. Lombardo LHF (VA) Lombardo LHF by Londonderry/Werther (breeder: Klaus Jürgens, Sehnde-Bolzum) won the Grand Prix Special at Rancho Murieta after placing second in the Grand Prix. Brian Hafner rode the 13-year old who had found his way to the United States via Verden’s November auction in 2003. Lautrec Alexandre Ayache and Lautrec by Landclassic/Gibraltar (breeder: Willi Ehlers, Walsrode) celebrated Easter on the Cote d’Azur. The pair finished Inter II in second place and the Grand Prix in third in Nice/France. Naomy We can find the name Naomy on the international sports pages of <strong>THE</strong> <strong>HANOVERIAN</strong> for the first time. Juan Antonio Jimenez Cobo rode the Hofrat/Espri daughter (breeder: Uwe Buenger, Hemmingen) and won the Interfreestyle in Toledo after having placed second in Prix St. Georges and Inter I. Remington Steele Caroline-Marie Scheufele successfully competed Remington Steele by Ravallo/Gelria (breeder: Wilhelm Varrenkamp, Stemwede) in three classes for juniors at the CDI in Nice placing second each time. Rosmarin Kimberly Herslow won Prix St. Georges and Inter I by a large margin on Rosmarin by Rosentanz/Weltmeyer (breeder: Josef Brinkemöller, Georgsmarienhuette) in Wellington. The eight-year old finished the final freestyle in third place. Royal Angelo (VA) Three starts – three victories! Arianne Petroncini from Italy won all three young riderclasses in Nice on Royal Angelo by Rotspon/ Pik Bube (breeder: Hans-Heinrich Müller, Stade). Rudy The judges awarded the fourth-highest score in the Grand Prix Special to Rudy by Rotspon/ Werther (breeder: Joachim Schwarze, Obernkirchen) and his rider Rochelle Kilberg from Canada at Rancho Murieta/USA. Sandronnerhall Sandronnerhall by Sandro Hit/Donnerhall (breeder: Joachim Essink, Stockach) received top scores and won the final for six-year old dressage horses with rider Antonio Jose Diaz Porras in Toledo. Saturday Night Fever (VA) The young riders had a rendezvous in Toledo. Luis Cerrillo Sopena rode Saturday Night Fever by Sandro Hit/Fabriano (breeder: Gabriele and Joachim Nanninga, Suederwalsede) into second place in the FEI-team test and into third place in the individual test. Wadamur (VA) Mid March Susan Jaccoma competed Wadamur by Weltmeyer/Silvio (breeder: Peter Richter and Richard Fortkamp, Mellinghausen) in Wellington and placed second in the Grand Prix Special. The 13-year old finished the Grand Prix in fourth place and the Freestyle in third. Welserin (VA) The judges placed Welserin by Welser/De Niro (breeder: Gesine Maass, Bremen) in fifth place in the freestyle for juniors at the end of the CDI in Toledo.
