The Human Resources
Team provides a full range
of professional services in
partnership with the
business units and the
corporation in the
initiation, development
and delivery of programs
and services that will
better equip the employee
in the performance of
their job. The HR Team is
client and site-based,
offering advisory,
coordination and
developmental services to
business units. These
range from recruitment to
employee relations;
services, including benefit
planning and
administration, pension
support services, payroll
and compensation
administration; and
services, such as diversity
management, human
resource planning,
training, performance
management and strategic
planning.
Accomplishments
Safe & Harmonious
Workplace Assurance
Project Impact is a
partnership program
whereby employees’
cardiac health is assessed
and a program of
improvement, including
exercise, stress
management and
nutrition, is established.
Workplace Safety: In
partnership with
business units,
the municipality
has undertaken
initiatives to
ensure
compliance
with the
Provincial
Act and the
highest level of safety for
employees.
Employee Family
Assistance Program: An
improved range of services
to all HRM employees
