INTRODUCTION The Otsego Faculty Handbook is a “work in progress.” Its purpose is to communicate building and district procedures and offer helpful ways to enhance your classroom management skills and teaching practice. It is intended to be an informational resource to use throughout the year. As our daily routines and responsibilities become more clearly defined, you will be receiving “inserts” to add to your binder. This handbook will answer many of your questions and provide you with the necessary materials to make your work day smoother. The literature was selected to keep you informed as to the latest trends in education. The articles present numerous educational philosophies and current research. In addition, different strategies and techniques that maximize student learning are offered. Your feedback and/or suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated.
