BOARD OF EDUCATION – REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 18, 2007
Dr. Karnilow said it is a pleasure to be a Candlewood Middle
School tonight. This evening, we have some wonderful things to
celebrate.

SERVICE AWARD:
Dr. Karnilow announced that Mrs. Greenspan was honored by
N-SSBA with their Distinguished Service Award at their Annual
Dinner Meeting on June 5, 2007.
The plaque reads:

THAT BRINGS HONOR TO ALL SCHOOL BOARDS TRUSTEES
Mrs. Greenspan thanked the Board of Education, Central
Administration and the Half Hollow Hills Community. She said
she is privileged to have the opportunity to continue to serve our
children and community.
STUDENT
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Dr. Karnilow recognized High School West Student, Jason Mogen,
who has organized the collection of over 2,500 pairs of eyeglasses
for the Gift of Sight to be distributed to less fortunate people
around the world.
Mr. Joseph Pennacchio, Director of Athletics, thanked the Board of
Education for the opportunity to recognize our student athletes for
their Spring Sports Awards:
