BOARD OF EDUCATION – REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 18, 2007
BE IT RESOLVED upon recommendation of James Gallo,
Director of Technology, that the two Johnson Gas Furnaces listed
on the attached Appendix C, due to obsolescence or lack of
functionality, are no longer viable for use by the District and are
hereby declared surplus and to be disposed of in a manner that is in
the best interest of the Half Hollow Hills Central School District.
BE IT RESOLVED upon recommendation of Joan Fowler,
Director of Math, that the out-dated math books at High School
East listed on the attached Appendix C, due to obsolescence, are
no longer viable for use by the District and are hereby declared
surplus and to be disposed of in a manner that is in the best interest
of the Half Hollow Hills Central School District.
COOPERATIVE FOOD & SUPPLIES
BID RESOLUTION: A Motion was made by Mr. Marcucci, seconded by Mrs.
Catapano, and carried unanimously (7-0) to approve the attached
Cooperative Food & Supplies Bid Resolution.
EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT:
WHEREAS in accordance with State Law and the requirements of
Project SAVE, the Board of Education of the Half Hollow Hills
Central School District has reviewed the proposed district-wide
and building-level school safety plans regarding crisis intervention,
emergency response and management developed by the districtwide
and building-level school safety teams, respectively, and has
held a period of public comment and a public hearing with respect
to said plans;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education
of the Half Hollow Hills Central School District, upon the
recommendation of the district-wide and building-level school
safety teams, and after due consideration of public comment and
discussion with respect to the proposed plans, hereby adopts the
proposed Comprehensive District-wide School Safety Plan and
Building-Level Emergency Response Plans, and directs the
administration to file copies of the district-wide plan and any
amendments thereto with the Commissioner of Education within
30 days of adoption, and to file copies of the building- level plans
and any amendments thereto with the state police and local law
enforcement within 30 days of adoption.
A Motion was made by Mr. Marcucci, seconded by Mrs.
Catapano, and carried unanimously (7-0) to approve the above
Resolution.
