MEMBER SERVICES TEAM LEADER<br />

<strong>Gumala</strong> Aboriginal Corporation ICN 2744 (GAC), one of Australia’s largest indigenous corporations, is<br />

an alliance of three language groups in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. As part of continued<br />

growth, GAC is currently seeking experienced and dynamics Member Services professional to join<br />

our expanding organisation .<br />

GAC is seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual who is able to thrive in a fast paced<br />

environment, to join our Member Services Unit <strong>team</strong> in our Perth office as Member Services Team<br />

Leader.<br />

Reporting to the Member Services Manager, this new role will facilitate the delivery of <strong>services</strong> to<br />

the GAC Membership, while assisting in keeping the Membership abreast of developments at GAC.<br />

You will be responsible in ensuring quality service is offered to GAC Members, and providing<br />

appropriate guidance and support to the staff in each <strong>team</strong>.<br />

Key responsibilities of this role include:<br />

Liaising and developing relationships with GAC Members;<br />

Coordinating the Member Services Unit in the GAC Office;<br />

Ensuring through actual service delivery, that the needs of the <strong>Gumala</strong> Traditional Owners are<br />

addressed in accordance with MSU’s current policies, procedures and guidelines; and<br />

Assisting in developing and refining current and proposed <strong>member</strong>s’ programs.<br />

To be considered for this role, you will possess the following attributes and experience:<br />

Strong customer service ethos;<br />

Demonstrate tolerance, patience and flexibility in difficult situations;<br />

Strong communication and coping skills;<br />

Excellent interpersonal skills (negotiation, conflict resolution, customer service, complaints<br />

management and stakeholder management);<br />

A demonstrated commitment or ability to positively engage with Indigenous people; and<br />

Exceptional time management skills and strong attention to detail;<br />

While it is not required that you have worked in an indigenous environment, a clear willingness to<br />

work and engage with indigenous people will be expected.<br />

The position will be based in our Perth office.<br />
