Located in the heart of Montgomery County, LAUGHING
WATERS has 460 acres of gently rolling meadows, rippling
creeks, and cool forests—perfect for the new or returning
camper. Laughing Waters has a pool for daily swimming, a
large sports field and various courts for games, an archery
range, a nature center, and an amphitheater for all-camp
campfires. Several Western Horseback Riding Programs
are offered using our stables, ring, and trails. Campers stay
in platform tents with 2-3 other girls their age, unless the
program description specifies large cabins. Each unit (group
of tents) has flush toilets and a unit shelter equipped with
electricity. First-timers, as well as returning campers, love
Laughing Waters’ open, welcoming environment.
All girls who attend Camp
Laughing Waters will participate
in traditional camp activities,
including a daily swim in the
pool (weather permitting). Arts
and crafts, cookouts, campfires,
hikes, nature activities, singing,
archery (Juniors and older), and
games will be included in each
week’s programming. Girls who
opt for a specialized program
will have the opportunity to focus
on their chosen theme while still
enjoying standard activities.

Looks like another hot summer, so
come cool off with a wet week of camp!
Spend extra time splashing around
at the pool morning, noon, and night
for water games, lessons, and even a
twilight swim. A poolside lunch, sprinkler
splashes, and a water balloon toss will
add to this wet and wild fun. Visit the
creek to learn about animals, plant life,
and water conservation, too.

Whether you’re looking to try camping
for the first time or enjoy your camp

You will swim, make crafts, play games,

building up courage and confidence,
you’ll spend your last night in a platform

adventure! Improve your biking
knowledge by learning the rules of
the road, riding skills, and basic bike
maintenance. Pedal your way around
camp, then hop off of your bike for a
day trip to Camp Tohikanee—you can
challenge yourself on the low ropes
course and even run across the
Cookie Bridge.
Bullseye

will be up and having fun! Stay up late
and enjoy a sleep-in breakfast almost
every day. With late-night swimming,

Camp Haunted Waters

weeks are for you! Explore the haunted
house industry with a trip to one of the
nation’s spookiest spots—the Eastern
State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. You’ll
take the Daytime Historic Tour and
go behind the scenes to see how the
fall’s Terror BehindThe Walls all comes
together. Intensify your scare factor
with a trip back to Philadelphia for the
Historic Ghost Tour by candlelight.
Afterward, take everything you’ve
learned back to camp, where you’ll
design and build a haunt of your own
to spook older campers, counselors,
family members, and friends. (Option:
bring costumes or safe props you could
contribute to your haunted unit design.)

Camp Scene Investigators
(CSI)

forensics and crazy about crime-solving,
