AUTUM N/ WINTER COLLECTION 2013-14
The classic trench coat has been worn by iconic
silver screen sirens Sophia Loren and Greta Garbo,
and has graced the shoulders of royalty including
three generations of Welsh Princes. This season,
Aquascutum has taken a refreshing approach to the
trench coat.

Embodying the combination of old Hollywood and modern
style are supermodel and 90’s icon Werner Schreyer, as well
as fresh-faced Codie Young. This ad campaign, shot by
Andreas Sjodin, served to demonstrate the luxurious fabrics,
innovation and meticulous approach to design that haven’t
gone amiss in 160 years.

Aquascutum continues to provide a quintessentially British
point of view for the pursuit of style, while staying dry in
perennial weather. The Autumn/Winter collection pays
homage to their military heritage with their timeless men’s
coat.

Their latest Autumn/Winter collection has moved on from the
slight edge and minimalist touch of the former head designer,
Joanna Sykes. This season’s collection nods to old Hollywood
while providing something refreshing, yet understatedly elegant
in clean lines.

John Emary’s “trench coat”, originally created for the
British Military in the Crimean War and World War I,
has remained an integral part of British fashion. It suffices
to say Aquascutum continues to be a sartorialist’s dream
of functionality and sophisticated form.
