MANAGEMENT ACTIONS PRIORITY FOR ACTION RESPONSIBILITY FUNDING x) Works located at Blackwall are currently a low priority with stabilisation at various areas from North Burge Road down to Blackwall Point. This area will require an annual review and protection works carried out if necessary. L Council Council, LAWC (C&E) xi) Proposed rock wall protection works at North Burge Road and at Brick Wharf Road have been constructed and completed. Completed 1994 Council Council, LAWC (C&E) xii) The existing protection works at Couche Park at Koolewong need attention and reconstruction. L Council Council, LAWC (C&E) xiii) Protection works at the southern end of Tascott Straight, Koolewong, foreshore reserve with a feature wall to be constructed to screen the existing high protection wall. Completed 1994 Council Council, LAWC (C&E) xv) Existing protection works on Brisbane Water Drive at Tascott should be monitored for rock wall failure and repair/replacement work to be carried out as part of any road maintenance. L Council Council, LAWC (C&E), RTA xvi) Ettalong Beach foreshore is to be regularly monitored for sand movement and/or erosion and protection works carried out if necessary. Beach nourishment is to be obtained from Wagstaffe shoal or other dredging works in the area. MANAGEMENT ACTIONS PRIORITY FOR ACTION RESPONSIBILITY FUNDING Channel and Foreshore Protection ixx) End of Elfin Hill Road, Green Point, requires rock work along the waterfront between Elfin Hill Road and Lexington Parade. L Council Council, LAWC (C&E) xx) Rock Protection is required along Hardys Bay Parade. Under Construction xxi) xxii) Phegans Bay Road and Alkira Parade, Phegans Bay require sandstone protection. Repairs to the rock revetment wall adjacent to the south of the Gosford Sailing Club requires attention. xxiii) Rock protection at the rear of Nos 36 and 38 Asca Drive, Green Point. xxiv) All proposed foreshore protection will be assessed and managed to avoid and minimise any adverse environmental impact on estuarine vegetation and habitat areas. At all times Council will encourage the maintenance of natural shorelines and foreshores to ensure cost effective protection given the nature and use of foreshore areas around Brisbane Water.
