DR. JOŽE ZAGOŽEN<br />

Chairman of the supervisory board<br />

is a Ph.D. in economics. He started his working career in the <strong>Gorenje</strong> business system. He was a<br />

manager of the sector for organisation and informatics in the then SOZD <strong>Gorenje</strong>. As Vice-President of<br />

the joint company <strong>Gorenje</strong> he participated in the rehabilitation operating committee of <strong>Gorenje</strong>. In 1991<br />

he entered the service at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia as a manager of the<br />

logistic administration. Later on he worked for Tiskarna ljudske pravice and the company TER. In 1996<br />

he was elected a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia where he was also<br />

Chairman of the Committee on the Economy. In the year 2000 he was the Minister of Economy in the<br />

government of the Republic of Slovenia. He was Councillor in the Municipality of Ljubljana in the term<br />

of office 1994-1998 and Chairman of the Committee for town planning, and Councillor also in the term<br />

of office 2002-2006.<br />

PETER JEŠOVNIK, M. SC.<br />

Member of the Supervisory Board<br />

In 1995 he graduated in international relations from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University in<br />

Ljubljana and completed his M.Sc. thesis on international economy in the Faculty of Economic in<br />

Ljubljana. He has worked for the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Development<br />

and European Affairs. From 1997 to 2001 he worked as an assistant and senior lecturer for marketing<br />

and macroeconomic environment at the Faculty of Management in Koper. In 2001 he started working<br />

for the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia where he managed the department for European affairs. He<br />

was also an active member of the national Forum within the Convention for the EU legislation. In 2004<br />

the European Commission appointed him a member of the Europe Team. In 2005 he was a deputy<br />

director of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for European Affairs and May 2007<br />

he was appointed a manager of the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments<br />

(JAPTI). He carried out this function to the beginning of the year <strong>2009</strong>. Until 30 June <strong>2009</strong> he was also<br />

Vice-Chairman of the supervisory board of NLB. In addition to this he was also a member of the<br />

supervisory board of the Centre for European Perspective, a monitoring committee for Schengen<br />

Facility and a supervisory board of Cohesion Fund.<br />

MILAN PODPEČAN<br />

Member of the Supervisory Board<br />

He is a university graduate in economics. From 1962 to 1975 he worked for Metalka in Ljubljana, he<br />

specialised in the field of commerce, finance and foreign trade. From 1975 to 1986 he managed the<br />

trading - production company of <strong>Gorenje</strong> in Vienna and in 1982 he was also a member of the<br />

rehabilitation management committee of <strong>Gorenje</strong> being in charge of the foreign trade network. From<br />

1986 to 1994 he managed an investment company of <strong>Gorenje</strong> - namely <strong>Gorenje</strong><br />

Beteiligungsgesellschaft in Vienna. In the years 1994 and 1995 he ran an investment company of<br />

Metalka, also in Vienna. He has considerable experience in the field of marketing, finance and<br />

corporate governance since he was also a member of some of the supervisory boards and chairman of<br />

the management committee of Slovenska odškodninska družba.<br />
