GROUP - 6. SEGMENT REPORTING<br />

Business segments<br />

The <strong>Group</strong> comprises the following key business segments:<br />

(i) Home appliances business segment<br />

Home appliances: the manufacture and sale of household appliances of own manufacture, the sale<br />

of household appliance of other producers (complementary programme), the sale of products from the<br />

supplementary programme outside of the three main programmes of large household appliances, the<br />

manufacture and sale of heating appliances of own manufacture, tool manufacture, machine<br />

construction, and manufacture of mechanical components.<br />

(ii) Home interior business segment<br />

Home interior: the manufacture and sale of kitchen furniture, bathroom furniture, sanitary fixtures and<br />

fittings, and ceramic tiles.<br />

(iii) Ecology, energy and services business segment<br />

Ecology, energy and services: Ecology and energy, trade, engineering, representation, catering,<br />

tourism, and real estate management.<br />

Geographical segments<br />

In presenting information on the basis of geographical segments, segment revenue is based on the<br />

geographical location of customers. Segment assets are based on the geographical location of the<br />

assets. The <strong>Group</strong> comprises the following main geographical segments:<br />

West: Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Great Britain, Greece,<br />

Norway, Turkey, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland,<br />

East: Ukraine, Russia, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina,<br />

Belarus, Kosovo, Moldavia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia, Czech Republic,<br />

Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovak Republic, Albania,<br />

Other: other countries.<br />

GROUP - 7. STATEMENT OF CASH FLOWS<br />

The statement of cash flows has been compiled under the indirect method on the basis of the items in<br />

the statement of financial position as at 31 December <strong>2009</strong>, the statement of financial position as at 31<br />

December 2008, the income statement for the year ended 31 December <strong>2009</strong>, and the additional<br />

information required for the adjustment of inflows and outflows.<br />
