Center Stage Above: Cherie and Ken Rosko With all of the options in Chicago, why do you support Goodman Theatre? The Goodman beautifully communicates the vibrancy of change that has taken place in our basic culture. The plays are timely and the actors’ professional performances wonderfully portray the plays’ characters. Is there a perk to donating that influences your giving? The contribution that we make financially is an effort to encourage and help broaden Chicago theater through original and new theatrical productions. Which recent Goodman productions have been particular favorites? The outstanding performances of Brian Dennehy— Death of a Salesman, Hughie, Krapps’ Last Tape and The Iceman Cometh. He so accurately brings to life the characters he portrays with depth of human emotions and their successes and failures. And Ken must note that one of his very favorite productions was Animal Crackers on October 28, 2009. This performance was our first date; we were married on May 28, 2011. Do you have favorite actors and directors who work at the Goodman regularly? Our favorite actors are Brian Dennehy, Steve Pickering and Spalding Gray, and our favorite directors are Robert Falls and Regina Taylor. How would you describe the Goodman to others?
