How does a heat pump work?<br />

1. A heat exchanger conta<strong>in</strong>s refrigerant, which is colder<br />

than the outside air. As the air passes the exchanger, the<br />

How we Prioritise<br />

Spectrum Hous<strong>in</strong>g Group has built these properties <strong>in</strong> partnership with East Devon District Council and has<br />

agreed a prioritisation plan. East Devon District Council has a hous<strong>in</strong>g policy to promote balanced and susta<strong>in</strong>able<br />

communities and wants to give priority to local people who wish to purchase a Shared Ownership home.<br />

Priority will go to applicants who currently live, work or have family connections with<strong>in</strong> the Whimple area<br />

but applicants with<strong>in</strong> the East Devon area can apply.<br />

Where demand is high, further priority may be given to:<br />

• Social tenants (Hous<strong>in</strong>g Association and Local Authority tenants) and serv<strong>in</strong>g military personnel<br />

The prioritisation does not determ<strong>in</strong>e which particular home you will be awarded. Whilst we would like to<br />

be able to give everyone their first choice, this is not always possible. In the event of compet<strong>in</strong>g choices we<br />

will allocate to the applicant who completed Spectrum Hous<strong>in</strong>g Group’s application form first. We may take<br />

medical needs <strong>in</strong>to consideration when allocat<strong>in</strong>g particular homes, so please advise us <strong>in</strong> writ<strong>in</strong>g of any<br />

medical conditions that may affect your application.<br />

In ALL cases you must be registered with SouthWest Homes, the local Homebuy Agent. However if you are<br />

not already registered, we can give you details on how to do this.<br />
