<strong>New</strong> <strong><strong>flag</strong>s</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>flag</strong> <strong>presentation</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>2014</strong><br />

03 December 2013<br />

Dear Sirs,<br />

As you could read in our previous press releases issued during the 2013 season, we<br />

remind you that the GP <strong>and</strong> SBK Commissions have decided to wave all <strong><strong>flag</strong>s</strong> as from<br />

<strong>2014</strong> <strong>and</strong> to use a double yellow <strong>flag</strong> when there “is a hazard wholly or partly<br />

blocking the track”.<br />

The <strong>FIM</strong> CCR Commission decided, on 11 November during its meeting at Valencia-<br />

Cullera, to extend this (waved) <strong>flag</strong> <strong>presentation</strong> to all the <strong>FIM</strong> CCR disciplines.<br />

In order to be very visible when waved, the characteristics of some <strong><strong>flag</strong>s</strong> have been<br />

reviewed. The <strong>FIM</strong> St<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>for</strong> Road Racing Circuits will be rewritten <strong>and</strong> will be<br />

available soon on our <strong>FIM</strong> website.<br />

However, we wish to anticipate the <strong>2014</strong> season <strong>and</strong> in<strong>for</strong>m you about the needs <strong>for</strong><br />

equipment of the <strong>flag</strong> marshals’ posts <strong>for</strong> the future.<br />

As an illustration, we are pleased to present to you a photo of the “new” <strong><strong>flag</strong>s</strong><br />

presented waved.<br />
