About Strathmartine The Strathmartine Ward is situated to the North West of the city and has a population of approximately 19,000. It comprises the distinct community areas of Ardler, St. Marys, Kirkton, Downfield, The Dales, Trottick and Brackens. Strathmartine boasts a number of parks, including; Camperdown, Clatto and Caird Park. This makes it a most attractive, green area, with great resources for exploring nature, walking and golfing. It also has many community assets, including; Ardler Complex, Kirkton Community Centre and St. Mary’s Community Facility who provide excellent services and activities for all ages. The ward has very mixed housing, with many of the houses built post war.
