Ángeles, young talents of the National<br />
Lyrical Opera, ve<strong>de</strong>tte Maylú, singer<br />
Lour<strong>de</strong>s Torres, the Lizt Alfonso <strong>Ballet</strong> and<br />
dancers from the Anfiteatro <strong>de</strong> La<br />
Habana, among other artists, who will sing<br />
a selection of operettas and zarzuelas<br />
which were hits in the voice of Rosita<br />
Fornés: La viuda alegre, La casta Susana,<br />
La Generala, El con<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong> Luxemburgo, La<br />
boda <strong>de</strong> Luis Alonso, Las musas latinas,<br />
Doña Francisquita, Las Leandras and La<br />

Dedicated to commemorate the<br />

<strong>Cuba</strong>n musician of whom there is record<br />
of printed scores, every year the Esteban<br />
Salas Early Music Festival gathers<br />
outstanding performers of Medieval,<br />
Renaissance and Baroque music who<br />
perform in Old Havana hea<strong>de</strong>d by the Ars<br />
Longa Music Ensemble. This festival has<br />
ma<strong>de</strong> it possible for audiences to enjoy<br />
for the first time in <strong>Cuba</strong> important pieces<br />
of the universal repertory, such as the<br />
madrigalian comedy “Festino” by the<br />
Italian composer Adriano Banchieri and<br />
Han<strong>de</strong>l’s “Messiah.”<br />
