consi<strong>de</strong>red one of the most controversial artists of<br />

his generation. He was first known for Santo <strong>de</strong> paseo<br />

por el trópico), a sculpture of Saint Sebastian ma<strong>de</strong> of<br />

polychrome plaster which is part of the permanent<br />

collection of the Contemporary <strong>Cuba</strong>n Art at the Fine<br />

Arts Museum in Havana The saint was placed in this<br />

setting as a symbol of the imprints of all kinds of<br />
