PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS<br />
SIRC workshops are designed with your needs <strong>in</strong> m<strong>in</strong>d! All workshops<br />
are aligned with <strong>California</strong> Science Content Standards and are taught by<br />
university faculty and experienced <strong>Sacramento</strong> Area Science Project (SASP)<br />
teacher leaders. Attend<strong>in</strong>g SIRC will enrich your elementary, middle, or high<br />
school classroom by provid<strong>in</strong>g new tools and ways to th<strong>in</strong>k about teach<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>science</strong>. These convenient even<strong>in</strong>g sessions <strong>in</strong>clude d<strong>in</strong>ner, park<strong>in</strong>g passes,<br />
and all workshop materials.<br />
SPECIAL GUEST SCIENCE SPEAKERS<br />
SIRC guest speakers are scientists or experts <strong>in</strong> STEM-related fields from <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Sacramento</strong> area that have made important discoveries or advances <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
fields. We seek dynamic speakers engaged <strong>in</strong> <strong>science</strong> relevant to you and our<br />
community.<br />
PARKING<br />
An electronic park<strong>in</strong>g permit will be emailed to you by <strong>the</strong> Friday before <strong>the</strong><br />
SIRC event. If you have not received a park<strong>in</strong>g permit by <strong>the</strong> day before <strong>the</strong><br />
event, please call our office and we will re-send it. You may also pick up your<br />
park<strong>in</strong>g permit <strong>the</strong> night of <strong>the</strong> event.<br />
