• Depth comparisons and object splitting are
done with object precision and the scan
conversion is done with image precision
• Depth Sort
– Sort all polygons according to their smallest
(furthest) z
– Resolve any ambiguities (by splitting polygons
as necessary)
– scan convert each polygon in ascending order
of smallest z (back to front)
