The <strong>DolWin3</strong> project establishes a 900 MW grid connection<br />
for wind farms in the south-western part of the German North Sea.<br />

The <strong>DolWin3</strong> project is the third<br />
connection in the DolWin cluster.<br />
The distance from the wind farms<br />
to the coast is about 83 kilometres.<br />
Then the grid connection runs for<br />
another 79 kilometres across land<br />
to the converter station in Dörpen<br />
West, which will serve as the grid<br />
coupling point. Completion of<br />
construction in 2017.<br />

constructs and operates grid connections<br />
for offshore wind farms.<br />
TenneT Offshore performs the planning<br />
and construction of power connection<br />
at sea and up to the grid connection<br />
point. The projects mainly involve the<br />
following tasks for connecting offshore<br />
wind farms:<br />
• Development of technical concepts<br />
• Route planning and surveying<br />
• Carrying out the legal and nature<br />
conservation procedures<br />
• Tendering, awarding and executing<br />
