1) Threat from low cost countries:
• Indian companies face threats from various other low cost countries in globe
like China and Israel
• However, on the quality front, India is better placed comparative to China. So,

2) Threat from European countries and US:
• The Qatar market depends on imports from Europe, Asia and the United
States for pharmaceutical requirements.
• In fact, the U.S. is one of the principal exporters of medical and surgical
equipments, along with medical supplies, medicines, drugs and other
pharmaceuticals to Qatar.
• This is a big threat for Indian pharmaceutical concerns.
