TRANSCRIPTION EXERCISE 30: -s and -ed endings
This exercise provides more practice on the -s endings
described in on page 18 (exercise 11). We now add the -ed
endings, which follow similar rules. Compare these rules
with the -s rules on page 18. Remember, look at the last
sound before the ending:
a) If it is fortis the ending will be t:
hopped sucked kissed puffed laughed roped matched

b) If it is NOT FORTIS the ending will be d:
siezed rigged bathed robbed pleased loved moved
