TRANSCRIPTION EXERCISE 30: -s and -ed endings<br />

This exercise provides more practice on the -s endings<br />

described in on page 18 (exercise 11). We now add the -ed<br />

endings, which follow similar rules. Compare these rules<br />

with the -s rules on page 18. Remember, look at the last<br />

sound be<strong>for</strong>e the ending:<br />

a) If it is <strong>for</strong>tis the ending will be t:<br />

b) If it is NOT FORTIS the ending will be d:<br />
