shape, more inflated walls, and a subrounded periphery with a slightly<br />
marked keel; quinqueloculine forms are more slender, having a lowtriangular<br />
shape in cross-section and no tendency to the deformation of the<br />
chamber walls. The two species are otherwise undobtedly related. They<br />

differ from Q. pseudobuchiana sp.n. in their more slender shape and<br />
rounded or subrounded, not acute or keeled, periphery. The massiline<br />
forms most resemble Q. araucana d'Orbigny from Recent seas, differ<br />
however in being twice as large and in having a more oval shape and<br />
a broader and bigger middle chamber. The quinqueloculine forms differ<br />
from Q. laevigata d'Orbigny in broader chambers and in more flattened<br />
walls.<br />
Distribution. - Poland: Tortonian (Benczyn, Gliwice Stare, Grabki<br />
Duze, Iwkowa, Karsy, Korytnica, L~ki Dolne). Czechoslovakia: Lower<br />
Tortonian, Zidlochovice.<br />
