Variability. The border of the aperture may be more or less everted,<br />

the shape of tooth varies from broad tape to narrow ridge or may be<br />

reduced, leaving only small traces (Text-fig. 50).<br />

Dimorphism and ontogeny. The sections show the mega I (?) generation;<br />

PD 60--80 fl. The internal structure is cryptoquinqueloculine (Text-fig. 50);<br />

there is a turn in the coiling axis by about 90° after the juvenile stage.<br />

Remarks. - This species differs from Cycloforina stomata sp.n. in<br />

its more circular shape, more inflated chambers, depressed sutures,<br />

semicircular, large aperture and small, tape-like tooth, from Varidentella<br />

rotunda (Gerke) in much more inflated chambers and depressed sutures<br />

and from Sinuloculina rotunda (d'Orbigny) in having a more circular test,<br />

more inflated chambers and broad semicircular aperture with a tape-like<br />

tooth.<br />

Distribution. - Poland: Lower Sarmatian, (Budy, Dwikozy, Grzyb6w,<br />

Mielec, Rytwiany, Wierzchowiska, Zrecze). Cuba: Recent.
